Karen Jo Matsler, Ed.D

Karen Jo was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas. She attended, Roosevelt, a small rural school east of Lubbock and then attended and graduated from Texas Tech University.  A doctoral degree was not pursued until the children were off to college.

She has served as a Co-PI, Project Director, Project Evaluator, Research Coordinator, and Curriculum Specialist for various state and national grants and programs.

Her educational experience is diverse yet deep as a result of the 20 years of secondary teaching experience, 4 years in curriculum supervision/administration, +10 years of university experience, +8 years in program evaluation.  She is currently working with preservice teachers as a Master Teacher for the UTeach Program at UTA.  Prior experience as a science coordinator, grant project director, and program evaluator allow her to have a vision for education that is both realistic and unique.
